Free Plugins
Plugins programmed in LScript are platform independent
and (in theory) will run on all Lightwave platforms regardless of
operating system.
Modeler:
LayerToolz v1.0 is an LScript/RT plugin for
Modeler[6] and 6.5 that allows the user to arbitrarily swap the
contents of any layer with any other. It also allows the user
to compact the layers of an object, removing all unused layers.
It requires LScript2.0.1or newer to be installed
within Lightwave[6]. Due to a problem within
LScript it is advisable to only work within the first 32 layers
(working on subsequent layers and using this plugin will cause
unexpected results). This Bug will be fixed in LScript2.1 which
is now available as part of LW 6.5
ATTENTION all 6.5 users. Version
2.1 of LScript has a bug that will not allow any LSRT plugins
to load in Modeler. Unfortunately this is beyond my control but
the problem has been reported.
ATV v1.0 is an LScript/RT plugin for Modeler
5.6 that generates motion files for vehicles and wheels by mapping
them onto a 'land mass' object. It comes complete with documentation
and a tutorial in HTML format that you can use along side Lightwave.
See the ATV.avi at the top of this page for a demo of stuff done
with the plugin.
This version of the plugin is limited to just 4
wheels. An unlimited version is available as DVDware e-mail me
for details.
Layout:
SeqLoad v1.2 is an LScript/RT plugin for
Layout (Lightwave[6] running LScript 2.0.2 or newer). It can be
used as a substitute for the currently defunked "Object List".
It will replace objects in layout based on a text file list in
exactly the same format as "Object List" as described
in LW[6] manuals. It permits the user to use an offset and the
ability to loop the list to any specified object. There is also
sequential loading (identical to ObjectSequence) but with the
added advantage of the offset and looping facilities mentioned
earlier. Includes HTML documentation.
